the referendum voting process - a reminder to vote yes
How to vote?
The process is the same as for any local or national election, same polling places as in previous elections.
A few changes because of COVID so for example take your own pen/pencil (but one will be provided as well)
But if you are a registered voter living inside the Forum area you basically put your X against the YES box on the Neighbourhood Plan referendum ballot paper.

What will the ballot paper look like?
Like any normal ballot paper and will have this question on it;
'Do you want the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to use the neighbourhood plan for the Isle of Dogs Neighbourhood Planning Area to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?'
With two boxes to put an X in;
YES - to approve the Neighbourhood Plan so that it carries full weight in the planning process
or
NO - to end the Neighbourhood Plan policies to improve the planning process in this area
What will be different on the 6th May?
You can take your own pen or pencil due to COVID.
You will probably need to wear a mask inside or have an exemption to wearing one.
A reminder that you can apply for a postal vote up to the 20th April 2021. See here: www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/lgnl/council_and_democracy/elections__voting/how_to_vote.aspx
